Lotus announces the intention to launch in October 2013, the City Car Concept. Will be produced in three versions, one of which is destined for Europe.
The Lotus is a new electric city car, the engine looks and a three-cylinder 1.2-liter 35 kW, used to recharge the batteries from 14.8 kWh of capacity. The traction is therefore ensured by an electric motor of 54 kW. But winning may well be a range of 500 km .
care style suggests some attention also to fittings with elegant furnishings and sophisticated materials such as leather, aluminum and carbon. A city car then fine.
The City Car will be produced together with Proton, which owns the British brand and does not exclude the involvement of a third partner. The project is part of a recovery plan which envisages the creation of five sports models in five years
